The Pune-based NGO Sarhad has shared a Bond with Kargil and its surrounding areas since 1998.
NGO also supports the education of our 39 students from Ladakh Sarhad town and Kargil students. Sudhir sir also organized this mega event with the help of Kargil and Ladakh police support. The 6th edition of the Sarhad Kargil International marathon will be on Sunday 17 September 2023. The marathon runners will start early in the morning. The registration process starts on 1st march 2023. The date for the run is 17 September 2023.
The venue for the Kargil Marathon 2023 is Khree Sultan Cho Sports Stadium, Beamathang, Kargil Ladakh UT.
An Important Fact About Sarhad Kargil Marathon
- The participants who have registered for the marathon will receive a t-shirt medal time chip and breakfast.
- All the participants must report at least 30 minutes before the start of the race.
- If your chest BIB number is lost then you will not be allowed to participate.
- The medals and certificates will be issued only to those returning the BIB.
- All the participants have to carry their fitness certificates.
- You should participate in this marathon at your own risk and Organisation will not be responsible for any mishappening.
Starting and Ending Point for Sarhad Kargil International Marathon
The starting point for the full marathon of 42.1 5 km is on Suroor River Valley Road. And the main starting point is Khree sultan Cho stadium.
The half marathon was completed on pole number 324 near the village and all the participants of the half marathon have to take uterine after completing 21.0975 kilometers.

Sarhad Kargil Marathon 2023 Price Money
The prize money will be awarded to participants only after they will provide the documents like a birth certificate issued by the local government passport aadhar card in original. The highest price money awarded for the marathon for first prize is Rs 1 lakh, 2nd Price rupees 75000, third price rupees 50000, 4th Price Rs 25000, 5th Price 20000 for both the men and women full Marathon. The prize money for the other categories like 10 km races 5 km races and half marathons is different.

- For the registration procedure, you have to choose the registration form as per your category wisely and they will provide a single registration opportunity with a single mobile number or Email Id.

- Here you have to select Indian International the resident of Jammu and Kashmir, the president of the union Territory of Ladakh, or other categories.
- Once you select the option then in the next click on the book now option.
