This is a new Health Insurance Scheme launched by the State Government of Kerala which covers almost all Government employees. Benefits Covers Under Medisep Scheme
- Scheme Kerala provides coverage up to rupees three lakh per annum for the government-eligible employees.
- All the beneficiaries under this scheme get a basic benefits package and specialized package for the upcoming three years.
- The scheme covers around 1920 treatments and surgical procedures.
- The basic benefits package bpp covers the cost of medical procedures , doctor, attendant fees, room charges, Diagnostic charges, implant charges, dietary charges.
- Basic benefits package mostly includes general surgery 197 packages, cardiology has 168 packages, surgical oncology include 156 packages, dental surgery includes 147 and orthopedics has 144 packages. For plastic surgery, they have 111 packages.
- The government provides rupees 3 lakh for the treatment out of which rupees 1.5 Lakh in nature another 1.5 Lakh can be used as floater basis.
- The floater amount if not used in one year then it will carry forward to the subsequent year as per the policy.
